Their culture and history are still very much a part of the city. Victoria’s historic downtown is a model for maintaining architectural integrity while keeping everything squeaky clean. Add to this, numerous dining, nightlife, cultural, and shopping opportunities not to mention that it is the warmest place in all Canada, full of flowers almost all year round. That is the reason it is considered the jewel of Canada's west coast and dubbed the city of gardens. Victoria is a charming little city with a joyful and laid-back atmosphere surrounded by amazingly beautiful scenery. It is no wonder tourists flock to Victoria and generally rave about it.

Ketchikan is a city in and the borough seat of the Ketchikan Gateway Borough of Alaska. It is the state's southeasternmost major settlement. Downtown Ketchikan is a National Historic District. With a population at the 2010 census of 8,050, it is the fifth-most populous city in the state, and tenth-most populous community when census-designated places are included. The surrounding borough, encompassing suburbs both north and south of the city along the Tongass Highway (most of which are commonly regarded as a part of Ketchikan, albeit not a part of the city itself), plus small rural settlements accessible mostly by water, registered a population of 13,477 in that same census. US Census results put the 2019 population at 13,901 people. Incorporated on August 25, 1900, Ketchikan is the earliest extant incorporated city in Alaska, because consolidation or unification elsewhere in Alaska resulted in the dissolution of those communities' city governments. Ketchikan is located on Revillagigedo Island, so named in 1793 by Captain George Vancouver. Ketchikan is named after Ketchikan Creek, which flows through the town, emptying into the Tongass Narrows a short distance southeast of its downtown. "Ketchikan" comes from the Tlingit name for the creek, Kitschk-hin, the meaning of which is unclear. It may mean "the river belonging to Kitschk"; other accounts claim it means "Thundering Wings of an Eagle". In modern Tlingit, this name is Kichx̱áan.

The Hubbard Glacier is a glacier located in the Saint Elias Mountains in Alaska (United States) and in the Yukon Territory (Canada). From its origin in the Yukon Territory the glacier stretches 122 km to Disenchantment Bay and Yakutat Bay. That makes it the longest glacier in Alaska ending in the water, while its facade measures more than ten km. Before reaching the water, it is joined by the Valerie Glacier, which contributes, according to experts, an additional push that in the long term will lead to the definitive separation of Russell Fjord from Disenchantment Bay. In May 1986, and in the spring of 2002, this separation took place, however only for a couple of months, giving rise to Lake Russell. After in 1986 the flow of the fjord after the summer reached a level of 25 m above sea level, approx. At midnight on October 8, 1986, the water pressure managed to pierce the ice wall and the fjord was again united with the ocean.1 It was the second largest Jökulhlaup in recorded history.

Another name Tsak Wan (賊灣, Hakka dialect pronunciation: tshet wan), pirate bay, indicates the presence of pirates nearby long ago. In fact, the area around Rambler Channel was known as Sam Pak Tsin (三百錢), literally meaning three hundred coins. There was a legend that pirates would collect three hundred coins should one pass through the area. In 1911, there were approximately 3000 villagers living in Tsuen Wan. In the 20th century, factories moved in gradually due to its proximity to Kowloon. With the construction of Castle Peak Road in 1917, motor vehicles could reach the town in addition to access on foot and by boat. Regular bus services did not begin until 1933. Early industries relied on the ample local water supply to make incense sticks, preserved fruit and farming, while post-war industries included metalwares and textiles.

benoa - bali - indonesia
Arrival: 07:00 - Departure: 18:00
The southern part of Bali, although generally chaotic and too touristy, has the best beaches on the island and several interesting sightseeing tours, so if you travel to this destination, I recommend you spend at least three full days there. If Bali is too crowded, the area of Kuta and surroundings takes the palm: it was there where the first travelers came in search of surf and they also found a paradise to export. But in spite of the noise and that the Balinese culture is not as present as in other areas, Kuta and surroundings can also be enjoyed. Legian street is nice, ideal to buy souvenirs or a dress haggling with the locals; The beach is very suitable for surfing and the best to see it, as it is full of surfers at all hours !; And the sunset is an event that you can not miss. The locals flock to the beach in packs, many of whom want to take photos with you, play football or simply bathe; And spontaneous bars are set up with fresh beers and boxes as local bar. There are beautiful sunsets that are harmless. Of course, the life of local people is shorter than in other parts of the island, or at least not so integrated, so forget to find a nice market or a temple in every corner.
