TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Mykonos: Mykonos is the party animal of the Cycladic islands, Greece’s answer to Ibiza, with bronzed bodies thronging its beaches by day and bass lines pounding through its super clubs until dawn. However, there is more to Mykonos than the dazzling sand and insatiable revellers. Chora village and the “Little Venice” are the most picturesque site of the island.

Santorini: A precious gem of the Aegean which consists of Thíra, Thirassiá, Asproníssi, Palea and Nea Kaméni. The whole complex of Santorini islands is still an active volcano whose crater is in the sea and the contrast it creates with the white-washed buildings set against the vibrant blue sky is what makes it so unique.

Day 1: MYKONOS ARRIVAL

Upon arrival at Mykonos Airport or Port, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for check-in. The afternoon is free at leisure to start exploring this cosmopolitan island. Stroll down the whitewashed streets of the Chora (the capital town) and get involved in the Mediterranean spirit by dining in one of the local taverns or drinking your first cocktail at one of the waterfront beach bars (own expense).

Overnight in Mykonos.

Day 2: MYKONOS DISCOVERY

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before you stroll down the Chora streets to begin with your Cycladic discoveries. The architecture of the narrow marble streets is astonishing and whitewashed houses with colorful doors and window frames, bougainvillea trees in red bloom and hidden churches will spark your curiosity about the Cycladic heritage. Pay a visit to the church of Panagia Paraportiani, the Townhall and the castle situated above the harbour and don’t miss the Archaeological, Folklore and Maritime Museums to take in a little history. Wander around the pedestrian shopping streets of the Chora. Stop at glamorous Maoyanni Streets to shop at one of the brand name stores or just enjoy a drink at one of the dazzling cafés or restaurants. On the lively waterfront, admire a fleet of fishing boats casting colourful reflections in the azure waters and do not miss Kazarma building, personal residence of Manto Mavrogenous, the heroine of the Greek Revolution. Continue to Ano Mera village. The big square in the middle of the village with all traditional café and restaurants and the big marble fountain, the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani with the unique icon of holy Mary, makes Ano Mera the most attractive and traditional village of Mykonos. Lay back and relax at the most famous beaches of the island like Kalafatis, Agios Stefanos and Agios Giannis with the perfect view to Delos, just before returning back at your hotel full of experiences.

Overnight in Mykonos.

Day 3: MYKONOS

Wake up to breakfast at the hotel and enjoy the full day at leisure at this Mediterranean paradise. Bask under the healing sunshine and soak up the alluring sights and sounds of a truly enchanting island. Lie down on the alluring beach and get seduced by the softness of the golden sand.

Overnight in Mykonos.

Day 4: MYKONOS – SANTORINI (3 hrs, by hydro boat)

Begin your day with a tasty breakfast at your hotel, and then get in on the transfer to the port of Mykonos to board the hydro boat to Santorini. You will be met and transferred to your hotel for check in. This evening is free at leisure on this dazzling island of Santorini. Lay back and relax at the white long beaches or head out to explore the island´s history and fascinating landscape.

Overnight in Santorini.

Day 5: SANTORINI DISCOVERY

Start the day with breakfast at your hotel and follow your island exploring visiting one of the hundreds of beaches found on the island. On the southern part of Santorini you will find one of the most distinctive beaches of the island, the Red Beach. The contrasting colors of the red lava cliffs and the clear blue waters combine to make a perfect setting. Once there, the visit of the White Beach in the nearby area is a must. Don’t miss the chance to pay a visit to the archaeological site of Akrotiri as it’s considered as one of the main attractions of the island due to its association with the Minoan civilization. To wrap up your day, enjoy a fresh fish or other local specialities at one of the local taverns.

Overnight in Santorini.

Day 6: SANTORINI: LOCAL WINES & TRADITIONAL CUISINE

Rise and shine to breakfast at your hotel and get ready to explore the island of Santorini, on your own. Stroll down the delightful alleys, and admire the white Cycladic houses lining the cliff tops. Explore the local viticulture and vineyards, perhaps visit a Canava, admire its 4 vineyards and distillery and taste volcanic wines. Then, indulge in the incredible local food. The number of great restaurants is impressive, and the traditional dishes (such as fava puree and Santorinian tomato balls) promise to offer a real gastronomic experience.

Overnight in Santorini.

Day 7: SANTORINI DISCOVERY

Breakfast at your hotel. The morning is at your own leisure. But in the evening do not miss the sheer beauty of Santorini's sunset view, one of the best places on earth as far as sunset viewing is concerned. Oia village where you will view the sunset from is situated on top of an impressive cliff and offers a spectacular view over the volcano and the island of Thirassia. As soon as the sun sets, descend to Ammoudi Bay to enjoy a romantic dinner in a restaurant of your preference.

Overnight in Santorini.

Day 8: DEPARTURE SANTORINI

After one last breakfast at your hotel, bid farewell to Greece as you get onto a comfortable transfer to Santorini Airport or Port, where you will catch your flight to your following destination. We hope the memories of this trip will stay with you for a lifetime – have a safe journey!

Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in Greece. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings.
